The “Introductory Training-Workshop on Open Data for CSOs in Bohol” was conducted last 31 January 2015 at the Metro Centre Hotel and Convention Center. The Provincial Reseach Team Lead, Ms. Marijoe Narca, who also acted as the master of ceremonies and facilitator, welcomed the partner CSOs to the activity.
The participants for this activity were the following: Mr. Francis Bernard I. Batoy (executive director), Florencio Raganas, Juanita S. Bernaldez, Chona G. Tormes, Manda Narido who represented Bohol Integrated Development Foundation, Inc. (BIDEF); Mark Francis Nasayao (Program Officer), Ma. Donessa Autida, Florabel Labor, and Faith Richelle Bullecer representing World Vision-Bohol; Emilia M. Roslinda (Executive Director), Maribel M. Acierto, Evelyn B. Orano, Jonnalie S. Galigao, and Joel L. Gubot of Participatory Research, Organization of Communities and Education towards Struggle for Self-reliance (PROCESS) – Bohol, Inc.; and Doris D. Dinorog, Danilo Ambaic, Joy Apat, Jessel Espenoza, and Ignacia Molig who represented Bohol United Sectors Working for Advancement of Community Concerns, Inc.(BUSWACC).
Speakers for the event were Michael Canares, EnCite-OGD Project Manager, Dr. Emmanuel Lallana of IDEACORP, Ms. Reina Abellana of the Department of Interior and Local Government, and Ms. Smile Indias, of the Open Data Task Force.
The event was also the occasion for the signing of Memorandum of Understanding with 4 civil society organizations who expressed interest to participate in the 4 week mentoring session on open data skills.
IDEACORP and the Open Data Task Force of the Philippine Government were the partners of EnCitE-OGD in conducting the event.
